Primark now open!

We are delighted to announce that today, Thursday 6 October, at 10am, our Primark store opened its doors for the first time!

With customers queuing for over an hour, the shop reached capacity within the first half hour.

The opening marks the biggest store opening since Debenhams in 2000. At over 34,000 square feet over two floors, the store is one of our biggest in the Centre and indeed the City.

Primark has employed a total of 185 people, and the majority are from Carlisle and the surrounding areas bringing much needed employment to the area.

With three new stores now open as a result of Primark, we are very excited for the future of The Lanes and look forward to announcing new store openings very soon!
